Chewing The Fat With The New LP From Meatwound

When I was younger I loved COMBAT WOUNDED VETERAN – so much so, that I went to Jack’s music and bought a tape recorder and a sound board kind of set-up – I also had a keyboard, I would combine all 3 to produce some noise and spoken screaming.

Now this really doesn’t have to do with anything except that MEATWOUND have a member of the aforementioned band bringing it home.

MEATWOUND just released ‘Macho’ on Threat Collection records.

This starts out with a mind numbing blast from a far away drum beat. Heavy. Heavy vocals, gruff vocals and well timed guitars and harrowing harmonies laid on top of heart pumping lines that sound like a mountain coming down.

I wasn’t sure what I expected but it’s very heavy and a bit on the slower side at times which works really well for the overall sound.

You can hear a slight tinge of COMBAT WOUNDED VETERAN in the guitars and the background noise, which I was very happy about. 

But this stands (STOMPS) through the ground. Grab a shovel and start digging – the ground is opening up.
